RAINBOW BABY,  2020

This work commemorates the infinite connectedness of Black family units despite the historic and systemic oppressions that challenge their humanity. The artist reimagines their infinite connectedness despite the estrangement they’ve survived by separating light using a glass prism revealing a spectrum of divinely connected hues. A number of respective viewers surrendered in gaze have sensed Rainbow Baby touch their abdomen. This enigma is described by the artist as the work provoking recognition of the birthplace of separation and connection for humankind.
